Two launches for total success!
As a result of its linguistic diversity, the ARVAL team in Switzerland took pleasure in organising two conferences to launch the CVO in Switzerland. This was truly a success at the national level as 137 people attended the two events held in Geneva for the French-speaking population and in Zurich for the German-speaking population.
Geneva Launch
On 12 October 2005, at the Swissôtel Métropole of Geneva, the morning began at 9am for a press conference that brought together the main press agencies in French-speaking Switzerland. The journalists showed a strong interest in the Corporate Vehicle Observatory. Many questions were asked and diverse articles published on the same day, in the French-speaking Swiss press as well as on many websites.
Starting at 11am, our local team welcomed our guests (customers, prospects, partners and suppliers). Following a warm welcome with refreshments, the conference began at 11.30am, led enthusiastically by:
Philippe Brendel, Director of the CVO
Marie-Laurence Guéna, Director of the ‘‘Finance and Services’’ Surveys department of TNS Sofres France
Stephan Beck, Managing Director of ARVAL Switzerland
Urs A. Haymoz, Managing Director of Haymoz Management Resources SA
Following about an hour and thirty minutes of presentations, our guests were able to get to know each other and engage in a discussion with our team at an excellent buffet. The comments were positive indeed and most of the participants wanted to sign up as a member of the CVO Club in order to continue to be informed on a regular basis on the surveys and different results of the Observatory.
Zurich Launch
After the excellent events of the previous day, it was up to the German-speaking region to discover the results of the survey conducted by TNS Sofres.
On 13 October 2005, at the ‘‘Au Premier’’ restaurant in Zurich, the second conference to launch the CVO in Switzerland was held. As it was the case for Geneva, the morning also began by interviews with different journalists from the German-speaking Swiss press.
At 11am, we took pleasure in welcoming the participants, which included representatives of our main competitors on the Swiss operational leasing market. The conference began at 11.30am and was led by:
Stephan Beck, Managing Director of ARVAL Switzerland
Marcel Streiff, Sales Manager of ARVAL Switzerland
Oliver Paul, Finanzforschung consultant, TNS Infratest GmbH
Balz Eggenberger, Director of Fleetconsulting GmbH
Once again, the guests took a great interest in the study conducted and many wished to be informed of the Observatory’s future results and surveys.
The two conferences showed truly positive results with a high participation rate and good feedback from the media. The entire Swiss team looks forward to organising upcoming editions.
