CVO presents the second edition of the brochure “mémento fiscal et social”, written in collaboration with the C’M’S’ Francis Lefebvre Office. Inside, you will find the tax and social regulations regarding the corporate vehicle. It is a practical and concise guide of the main social and fiscal topics concerning the corporate vehicle: VAT, Tax on Corporate Vehicles (TVTS), amortization, tax sticker, registration card, benefits in kind...
This guide is edited according to the French fiscal and social law.

This brochure presents a tracking study made in 2003 and updated in 2006. It is a practical and detailed classification, which presents truck light commercial vehicles and commercial vehicles, for the makes that are sold the most, delivered with safety equipment or in option. These equipments are classified in three categories related to safety or comfort criterion.
 
 
- Le Livre Vert de l'OVE - CVO's Green Book (N°13)

Published in January

The brochure analyses the rate of CO2 discharge of the twenty most sales models in France for the first semester 2005 and that represent 60% of car registrations.
The Observatory established a ranking per model and per category, for those who want to get new particular vehicles and who want to optimise their choice according to their CO2 emission rate.

- Automobile, environnement et développement durable - Vehicles, environment and sustainable development (N°12)

The guide presents different faces of issues and answers for companies. Thanks to concrete examples of car manufacturers, cities or companies, implied or concerned with this process, this brochure gives tracks to follow and to exploit, to make vehicle a sustainable development synonym.

The Corporate Vehicle Observatory has published a new edition to give to managers the four levels of action needed to assess the corporate risks of accidents of for its employees on mission:

Organising travel, managing communications, monitoring the fleet and, finally, management of skills.

A self-diagnostic is proposed, and then interpreted, so as to regulate and  reduce the exposure of employees on mission to hazards on the road.

- Le Baromètre 2005 - The 2005 Barometer  (N°10)

The third publication of the Barometer takes on a European dimension as it includes 4 new countries: Germany, Italy, Portugal and Switzerland.

This survey provides a complete view of all the majors trends in the European market of corporate vehicles as well as the future perspectives.

Presented are each mode of vehicle acquisition and the financial, accounting, tax and organisational consequences. The more pertinent choice for the company depends on many factors: the balance sheet situation of the company, its profitability, sector of activity, number of vehicles needed, use of the latter as well as a large number of other considerations.

The Observatory proposes an objective presentation of the different modes made available (purchase, loan, leasing with option to buy, operational leasing...)

The order of 10 December 2002 has deeply modified the rules for calculatin benefits in kind in companies. Financial Directors, Fleet Managers, employees must from now on take the new modes of calculation into account: real costs or package.

The Corporate Vehicle Observatory offers a description of the new legislation in force as well as the new modes of calculation,  with practical and concrete examples and testimonials.

At present, nearly two thirds of fatal industrial accidents take place on the road accidents. The Corporate Vehicle Observatory offers an overall view of the new legislation in force, with the progressive installation of ever more effective automotic controls as well as the legal risks involved in the law against road violence, while providing advice and giving examples on the practices to be adopted by companies.

- Véhicules utilitaires et équipements de sécurité - Commercial vehicles and safety equipment (N°3)

Published in December

Prefaced by Rémi Heitz, Interministerial Representative of Road Risks, this brochure is devoted to safety of lightweight commercial vehicles. A survey, conducted over 2500 vehicles of the main car manufacturers present on the French market, indicates the equipment that directly concerns driver safety: ABS, airbags for the driver and passenger, air conditionning and power steering.

-  CD Audio hors-série des publications de l'OVE sur les normes IAS - Audio CD, an additional publication of the Corporate Vehicle Observatory on the International Accounting Standards (IAS).

This CD includes transcriptions of the exchanges at the round table held in November 2003 on the theme of the impact of the International Accounting Standards (IAS). Europe has adopted the new International Accounting Standards, to go into application 1st 2005, for the results of the listed companies and thus their subsidiaries. A comparative one-year study will be necessary, which implies implementation of these standards on 1st January 2004.
